This site collects very little, and this page explains all of it — what arrives when you send the contact form, who handles it on the way, and what your rights are. No legalese where plain English will do.
Who I am
Geo Studio is George Barnes, a sole trader based in Essex, England, building websites for UK businesses. For anything this site collects, I’m the data controller. You can reach me at hello@geo-studio.uk.
What this site collects
Only what you choose to send. The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, an optional current website, and a description of your project. The portfolio-partner form collects the same kind of thing.
Nothing is stored in a database. Form submissions arrive as an email in the studio inbox, and that’s where they live.
Who processes it on the way
Two services touch your data, both acting on Geo Studio’s behalf: Resend delivers the form submission as an email, and Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) briefly for security and reliability.
Both may process data on servers outside the UK, under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
If analytics are ever added, it will be a cookieless, privacy-first tool that collects no personal data — and this page will be updated first.
Why I can process this
The lawful basis is legitimate interest: you sent an enquiry, and replying to it requires reading it. Your details are never used for marketing lists, never sold, and never shared beyond the processors named above.
How long I keep it
Enquiry emails are kept while they’re relevant to a live conversation or engagement, then deleted. If we never end up working together, your enquiry doesn’t hang around.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to what I hold about you, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing altogether. Email hello@geo-studio.uk and you’ll have an answer within one month.
Complaints
If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office — ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
Questions about any of this — hello@geo-studio.uk. Plain-English answers within one working day.
