Wed–Sun · From 5pm · Margate harbour

Naturalwine.Smallplates.Margate.

A short menu, an honest list, and a view over the old town. The kitchen leans Mediterranean. The cellar leans low intervention. Booking opens fourteen days out — walk-ins welcome at the bar.

The room

An old fishmonger's shop, looking out at the harbour.

We took over the lease in early 2024. Most of the original tiling is still there, and the fish counter — too good to take out — is now the bar. The room seats 28, with another six at the counter.

The kitchen is run by Ines, who came over from Brawn after eight years. The cellar is mine. We met at a tasting in 2019 and worked out the idea over the next four winters.
